Tea Time with Women in Mathematics - Gender and Math subfields The next Tea Time will take place on January 17th from 2:30 pm to 5 pm in the Hausdorffroom. At this event, we will look at women's representation in mathematical subfields, both internationally and specifically in Bonn. The event is inspired by this paper (https://arxiv.org/abs/1509.07824), that analyzed the participation of female authors in math papers on the arXiv. Equipped with tea and cookies we will talk about our own experiences, the different stereotypes concerning math subfields (and how they differ between universities) and have a look at the expectation and reality of women's representation in the different areas in Bonn. The event will mainly be in English, but discussions in any language are welcome.
